Research@Locate’14

Call for Papers

Research@Locate’14 intends to bring together all academic communities involved in spatial information from Australia, New Zealand, and the Australasian region. The organizers of Research@Locate’14 welcome papers from researchers in geodesy, mapping, computer science, artificial intelligence, geography, geoinformatics and related disciplines contributing to spatial information science. They invite submissions of original, previously unpublished papers contributing to spatial information science. Papers incorporating one or more of the following themes are especially encouraged:

  • positioning and sensing
  • remote sensing and imaging for spatial information
  • spatial information integration
  • spatial information infrastructure
  • location intelligence
  • crowdsourcing, volunteered geographic information, and citizens as sensors
  • spatial and spatiotemporal pattern recognition, data mining and knowledge discovery
  • spatial human computer interaction
  • spatial web and mobile services and mapping

In addition, research papers relating to the special Locate’14 themes are encouraged:

  • Locating in the digital economy
  • New technologies
  • Smart environments: cities, governance, farming
  • National security
