Call for Papers

Research@Locate 15 intends to bring together all academic communities involved in spatial information from Australia, New Zealand, and the Australasian region. Papers are welcome from researchers in geodesy, mapping, computer science, artificial intelligence, geography, geographic information science and related disciplines contributing to spatial information science. Submissions are to be of original, previously unpublished papers contributing to spatial information science and encouraged to address one or more of the following themes:

  • positioning and sensing
  • remote sensing and imaging for spatial information
  • spatial information integration
  • spatial information infrastructure
  • location intelligence
  • crowdsourcing, volunteered geographic information, and citizens as sensors
  • spatial and spatiotemporal pattern recognition, data mining and knowledge discovery
  • spatial human computer interaction
  • spatial web and mobile services and mapping
  • multidimensional spatial data acquisition and analytics

In addition, the Locate 15 themes also apply.


New to the Research@Locate event for 2015 is a special poster presentation session especially focussed for all currently enrolled students. Posters on the spatial sciences topics and themes (as for papers) are welcome and authors will be expected to contribute a 3-minute presentation in a poster session.
